We recently had a project where we fixed hail damaged shingles on an apartment building and upgraded the shingle and color for more curb appeal. To fix the roof, the following steps were taken:

First, we removed the existing hail-damage shingles and underlayment
This process involved carefully removing each shingle and inspecting it for damage. Any shingles that were cracked or broken were removed and replaced with new ones. Once all of the damaged shingles had been removed, we then removed the underlayment. This was done to ensure that any water damage or other issues were identified and addressed before new shingles were installed. Once the old underlayment had been removed, we then installed new underlayment to provide a solid base for the new shingles.
Next, we replaced the damaged shingles with GAF Timberline American Harvest shingles.
